Balboa

This swing dance for couples originated in Southern California at the beginning of the 20th century. Balboa is said to be a dance for dancers. Although it was very popular in the 1920–1940s, today it’s rare that someone exclusively dances balboa.

Balboa is less spectacular than other swing dances, but it contains a lot of feelings and interaction between partners. This dance is multifaceted, with subtle movements, fast tempos and amazing footwork. It is a musical dance that you won't soon forget.
